Income declarations have already been submitted by 538,722 residents of Latvia

The State Revenue Service (SGD) of Latvia reported that 538,722 residents of Latvia filed income declarations, of which 462,016 for 2019, the rest for previous tax periods, writes the portal LSM. At the moment, the SGD has already returned to the residents overpaid income tax in the amount of 56.8 million euros. In turn, the total debt of citizens according to the filed declarations to the budget is 5.4 million euros. Until June 1, 2020, the mandatory income declaration for last year should be provided to all citizens whose income exceeded 62,800 euros until July 1, 2019. Also, a mandatory income declaration should be submitted to all those who have received income abroad, except for income received in the EU, if income tax has already been paid from them. The declaration should be submitted to anyone whose transactions with personal property exceeded 10,000 euros, as well as to those who received a gift from a third party worth more than 1,425 euros.
