Hubei Province's foreign trade sat below China average
The total amount of foreign trade of the Province of Hubei in the north of China reached 89.2 billion yuans (about $12.6 billion) in the first quarter 2020 that for 7.3% year on year, reports on April 24 the Xinhua agency. The province's foreign trade growth rate in the first quarter was 13.7 percentage points higher than the national average. The province's exports 7.9% to 47.4 billion yuan, while imports soared to 32.2% billion yuan, 41.8 customs said. The region's trade with Australia was 16.9 billion yuan, which became its biggest trading partner in the first quarter of the year, up 25.3% a year earlier. Trade with ASEAN and Brazil grew by 58.2% and 61% year-on-year, respectively.
