In a collision of two aircraft in Alaska, a regional deputy died


In Alaska, when two small aircraft collided in the air near Soldotna Airport, State House Deputy Harry Knopp was killed. This was reported on July 31 by the Anchorage Daily News. The collision occurred in the sky over the Kenai Peninsula, about two miles northeast of the airport, at 08:30 in the morning. One of the colliding aircraft was the single-engine Havilland DHC-2 Beaver. Information about the second, which was previously identified as a twin-engine Piper Aztec, is currently being clarified. The number of passengers on board the aircraft and the number of dead and injured has not yet been reported. So far, colleagues in the state legislature have confirmed only the death of Harry Knopp. According to the news agency, in Canada, when trying to land on an abandoned runway, an easy-engine plane crashed, a 62-year-old woman died. The tragedy occurred in the small town of Mishen (British Columbia), located 62 kilometers from Vancouver.
