Tibetan PLA command conducted ultra-fast military exercises


The Tibetan military command of the People's Liberation Army of China (PLA) completed a series of round-the-clock live firing exercises, Xinhua News Agency reported on September 24. According to Tan Kefei, spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of China, during a press conference, the exercises set themselves the task of checking the adaptability of the Chinese armed forces to various combat conditions and checking their capabilities in conditions close to combat in ultra-high mountain areas. The exercises took place as part of the annual plan of military exercises and did not set themselves the task of practicing military operations against a particular country, Tan added.
