In Abkhazia, the tourist season can open from July 15

Prime Minister of the Republic Alexander Ankvab instructed to consider the possibility of opening the tourist season in Abkhazia from July 15 during a meeting of the coordination headquarters. This was reported on June 29 by Apsnypress. "The headquarters instructs the relevant ministries and departments to work out the issue of the possibility of opening the tourist season from July 15, having discussed related issues with Russian structures, Ankvab said. He noted that the time allowed should be enough to study the issue and build a competent policy so as not to cause irreparable damage to Abkhazia. The Prime Minister added that he will report on the proposal to open the tourist season to the president of the country so that he makes a final decision. It is worth noting that in Abkhazia until July 15, the closure of the border with Russia and the ban on tourism business were extended.
